Supplies
- Drip brewer
- Filters sized for your machine
- 40 grams of coffee (1:14 ratio*)
- Digital scale
- Optional: Grinder
*For a stronger brew, use a 1:14 ratio, but you can adjust to as much as 1:20 ratio if you like a milder coffee.

Step 1
PREPARATION
Fill the brewer with 640 grams of water (about four cups).
TIP: Use filtered water to allow your coffee’s true flavor to shine through.

Step 2
WEIGH & GRIND
Weigh out 40 grams of drip grind or medium grind coffee.
If you are grinding your own beans, grind to the consistency of coarse salt.

FILL FILTER & BLOOM
Place ground coffee in the filter basket, and place the filter basket in the machine.
If your machine doesn't have a bloom feature, add just a bit of boiling hot water to the grinds, until they are damp, but not soaked.

BREW & SERVE
Here's the beauty of drip machines - just push a button to begin your brew cycle.
If you want to keep your coffee hotter in the cup, fill you mug with hot water while the coffee brews. Once the brewed coffee is ready, discard the hot water and pour into your pre-warmed mug
